WaPo: President Trump said he has called off a planned ceremonial visit to Britain because he didn’t want to be associated with what he called a bad real estate deal in which the U.S. Embassy is being relocated from central London to “an off location.”

In a Twitter message shortly before midnight Thursday, Trump implicitly rejected reports that the trip — never announced but widely assumed to be in February — was being scrapped over concerns that the U.S. leader would be met with widespread protests.

“Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for ‘peanuts,’ only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO,” Trump wrote.

Plus the old embassy was owned by the Duke of Westminster. It was leased to the USA for the grand sum of one golden peppercorn per year.

Other London properties owned by the US, were sold to facilitate the purchase & construction of the new embassy. It's far more secure and accessible than the former building which was located in Mayfair, a very congested area of London.

Bottom line is President Shithole was looking for a reason not to go to London, the Queen didn't want his ugly crass ass anywhere near the Palace, hundreds of thousands would have been out in throngs to protest President Shithole, not to mention that Prince Harry didn't want the US shithole anywhere near his upcoming wedding.

Trump wants gold-plated carriage ride with Queen during UK visit: report

President Trump has requested a ride with Queen Elizabeth II in a gold-plated carriage during his visit to the United Kingdom this October, according to a report by The Times of London.

The tradition of world leaders taking a carriage ride along the mall from the Royal Mews to Buckingham Palace with the Queen is not entirely unusual.

The decision has not yet been confirmed, and aspects of Trump's visit are still in flux.

While President Obama chose not to ride in such a carriage during his U.K. visit, other world leaders — including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Chinese President Xi Jinping — have taken such carriage rides during state visits.

it has to do with security, which Trump claims he is most concerned about. The central location of the original embassy was not deemed secure enough, particularly post 9/11
