with 99% of vote in, Dem Attorney General Andy Beshear  holds a 5,482 vote margin over incumbent GOP Governor Matt Bevin. NBC has declared Beshear the apparent winner. All counties have reported in, with a couple of outstanding precincts in predominantly GOP counties. It doesn't appear there will be enough outstanding votes for Bevin to catch up.

Kentucky doesn't have an automatic recount provision. The loser would have to petition the court to order a recount.

Current vote total is 710,862 for Beshear or  49.2%, 705,125 for Bevin or 48.8%. Independent John Hicks has 28,414 votes or 2%

Lex18 is calling Beshear the winner.

Fox says too close to call, point out that Trump called for 'angry majority' to rise up. LOL, fear & smear is all they have

Most of the national outlets have not called the race

Someone on CNN said Moscow Mitch is secretly happy, because he won back the Attorney General slot (which Beshear now holds) and didn't care for Bevin (too unpopular & too extreme). Pure speculation, but it could be right. Mitch should be worried, though, because Beshear won the suburban counties in a big way, which doesn't portend well nationally or in battleground states.

People want health care.  Enough to elect a Democrat in KY.  This is what I was saying earlier today - it's a BIG FUCKING DEAL and we need to get on top of the issue and ride it to victory.  Of course the Republican also called teachers thugs and stuck himself to Trump like a lamprey and it failed, with him running 30 POINTS behind Trump's margin in 2016.  If you give people a reason to come out and for for themselves next year, they'll do it.  If you don't, Trump will win by having more crawl-over-broken-glass types than we do.

Another blue wave, & really, who cares what mitch thinks...lol

DID YOU KNOW: Democrats have won the city council majority in Columbus, Indiana, hometown of VP Pence and Congressman Pence, for the first time since 1981.

Enthusiasm for this election in Indiana has been pretty much zero.  The Dem won locally but his opposition prevailed in a race which split the Republicans between screwballs (including him) and the PaleoCons.  Brenda reported that a big flatbed truck with a sign for the Republican was driving very slowly around town today.  All it accomplished was to piss people off.
