Burchett Accuses McCarthy of Elbowing Him

“Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) on Tuesday accused former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) of elbowing him as he passed in a Capitol hallway and chased after the former House leader,” The Hill reports.

“Burchett is one of the eight GOP lawmakers who voted to oust McCarthy from the Speakership.”

Burchett later told CNN that McCarthy got a “clean shot to the kidneys” and called him “a bully.”

I think I'm going to start referring to them as Banana Republicans. In the past week, they had a former MMA fighter and senator challenge a witness to a fight right on the senate floor, and they had their former Speaker, who apparently has a history of such behavior, give someone a kidney shot. That's behavior that Trump cult members resort to, not the way actual adults conduct themselves. The US continues to circle the drain, closer and closer. Thanks to the Banana Republicans.

Speaker Mike is playing the role of substitute teacher assigned a class in disarray. The regular teacher has been hospitalized after complaining of chest pains, and has spent the night in hospital. Won't be coming in for a week or so.

I don't believe in coincidences in Congress. The goonish behavior by the GOP critters seems staged as a tie-in to Donnie's goonish speech over the weekend, to show that the GOPers are 'tough guys' ready to carry out his strongman fantasies.

I think there's some of both in there. The politicians are angling to get a pat on the head from Donnie, by shoring up his delusions of "badassery." And, just as the Republicans have done with so much unethical, criminal, even evil behavior of Donnie's, yes, if they can normalize this, maybe when the next J6 happens, not so many of the traitors will go to jail.
