Occasionally I get a message pop up that says the "File is empty or corrupted". I am using version 11.12. Is there any advice for avoiding this and a way I can recover the corrupted file. Luckily I do a "Save as" and rename the file quite often.
There is not a great deal you can do - this is often due to running out of memory and the result is a corrupt drawing file. The official response is to try opening the .BAK file and/or to try importing the ,KIT or .BAK file into a new drawing but this has never worked for me.
To avoid such issues, I recommend getting into the habit of incremental saves either via the method built into V11.12 or to do it manually. After every major change/10-15 minutes of work, my designers choose 'save as' and add a number to the end of the file name. This way they lose very little if the drawing corrupts.
