Emailing .kit files   Troubleshooting

I work from home and I have a co-worker who does the same.  I want to send design files to him for review, and I've done this with other designers in the past, but every time he sends me one I receive the message "the design file you are trying to open is not compatible with 2020 Design".  We are both using the same version, so I don't know what is wrong.  I've tried contacting 2020 support, and they say there shouldn't be a problem unless HE is creating files in version 12 (which he is not)

Help?

Hey MJDesigns808,

I suspect you may be using some form of a fileshare system (Network/OneDrive/Dropbox, whatever).  Ask him to save the designs on his hard drive first (anywhere on the C: or D: drive) then copy the saved .kit files to the fileshare location.  Saving directly from 2020 to the fileshare/network location can cause this issue.

Good Luck

Thank you!  I bet that's exactly what's happening.  I'll go check it out. :-)
