Yes. I believe I read that book awhile back (years ago). Wasn't that the story by Dorris, where an indian woman, has a black husband, who seems to love her, but leaves her from time to time. The story focuses on their daughter, who is of mixed blood, and the relationship that she has with her mother. I don't recall everything, in fact remember very little..but I loved that story. Also, have you read "Broken Cord" by the same author. Dorris has left us now and I am going to miss his writings very much. I think he was Modock mixed with German - not quite sure. You might want to
check out some of his wife's books if you have not already done so.
She is Louise Erdridge (not sure of last name spelling). Wrote some
very thought provoking novels: Love Medicine, Beet Queen, Bingo Palace to name a few. I need to get back to reading of indian authors again.
