Although I have not been on these Forums for awhile, I always remember the date of Barbaro’s passing and his birthday. I commented on Facebook but want to reaffirm my enduring memory after 15 years of savoring the impact of Barbaro’s life and journey from triumph to tragedy ,igniting a spark of my interest and quest for knowledge about horseracing and the needs for promotion of horses’ welfare above all! Attending the 2007 of FOBS in Delaware to celebrate his birthday was a high point in paying tribute to the courage, heart, and character of a great champion! An indelible mark on my heart remains !

Barbaro is always in my heart, 365 days a year! What an incredible boy he was! His legacy lives on in all of his beloved FOBs.

He has led the way and I have learned so much from his life. His patience was amazing,as he healed, with all setbacks, and we love him, always. His legacy is Great. among all others.

I know I am reading into this and people will scorch me, but I think he didn't like the roses because he felt his glory was not ultimately going go be on the racetrack. It was going to be his legacy that endured.
