How are you feeling today Jeanne?  I talked to my Mom in Pa today and she has added you to her church prayer list..............

I love the idea of the quotes..........I'll still have to cheat a little with some of my already made signs:)  I have a wonderful quote in mind already..........

If you consider that we cannot save them all, and what difference does one make, you ought to know the joy of the one who is saved."

Yes, we could use some "spare change" from your pockets. Jeanne's "complications" (which happened because she is so special and unique!) will bring some extra burdens to the Haven in the cost of help to take care of the ladies (and Elmo).

We did rather well with the Evening Attire auction, and I have auctions for the ladies' halters that will begin tonight. But we still have every day expenses to pay, so every little bit helps... as always!

As always, your good/healing thoughts and prayers are always welcomed! :)

I am getting stronger every day. ESPECIALLY since I have stopped using any and everything the surgeopn prescribed for the wounds caused by the surgical adhesives!

The treatments kept making matters worse so after talking with my family DR we stopped use of all pads and pastes and started using vinegar compresses....my boo boo have healed more in the last day and a half than they have in ALL PREVIOUS days put together!

I was even able to get to the barn last night to give Timeless Sue a quick brush. It was so good to be out there getting and giving kisses.

Sometimes the old methods work the best!  Glad you're on the mend :)

OMG that is so awesome.  Vinegar has become one of my go to's for alot of things.  So the compresses - just straight vinegar?  How cool - will add to my list!

It was a great relief to be able to get to the barn every day, three days in a row, even if I can't really do any work. I was getting so depressed without my ladies interaction!

Just being able to touch the ladies is a healing for me. I have been able to brush a few here and there...not really grooming, mind you, just knocking the mud off.

Oh, and I talked with Elmhurst about his VERY BAD behavoir! He has been giving our volunteers FITS as he gets all the ladies riled up and running when they should be coming in for dinner. He farts at just about everyone and in short, has been acting like the class clown with a substitute teacher in an unruly class room.

He picks on Pete, too! Every dang day, Pete comes down from the barn with a description of the rotten things Elmo has done.

Well, tell you what! I took Elmhurst to his stall and scolded him. He claims he has been a perfect angel. (in fact, he was perfect for me.) He claims that what THOSE people thinks is riling the ladies is him just trying to round them up for easy catching and he claims no one but me understands his sense of humor.

Yup, I don't buy it.

I get stronger every day. I am back at my paying job (light duty only) and am mending fast. Hopefully, I will be back at the barn full time after St Patricks day.

Thats the goal.
