Won the 2000 Guineas! The rest were all running for 2nd!
This horse just plain loves to run. During a workout, a train approached next to the track and he began "racing" the train....and got ahead of the train. Would love to see him come over for the Breeders Cup.

I just posted this to Trevesmom on the Overdose thread:

A colt like this, a performance like this....it is why we always hold that hope in our hearts to see one like him come along.

He is such a brilliant horse.  I would love to see him come here, too, but it was a privilege to see him win like this today.  As I said on the Overdose thread, at whatever distance he can run, he is undoubtedly the best colt in the world right now just as Black Caviar is the best sprinter in the world.

That was simply breathtaking!

Easily, the best three year old in the World!

Bobby is smiling down over his namesake :)

This is one horse who could make me consider a trip over there to actually see one such as him run.

Bounced over here when I saw Frankel with his own thread so I haven't read your post on Overdose yet (will in a minute) but I always say I have no addictions but chocolate and a great horse.  There is no feeling so high as seeing a great horse prove its greatness and Frankel did that today.  It's been an amazing few years with so many truly great horses:  Zenyatta, Rachel, Sea the Stars, Black Caviar, Goldikova, Buena Vista (and I'm forgetting another great Japanese mare) and now Frankel.  Amazing performance.  I agree, I would LOVE to see Frankel in person.

Did they give his time yet?  I wonder if he did break the record.  ETA: answering my own question but it was 1.37.30 but I'll have to go back to find out what the record was.

Incredible All-the-Way Triumph For Frankel In the Guineas

15.10 at NMTG1 QIPCO 2000 Guineas (203rd Running) [1m (T)]

Winner: Frankel (GB), c, 3 by Galileo (Ire)
FRANKEL (GB), c, 3, Galileo (Ire)--Kind (Ire), by Danehill.

O-Khalid Abdullah; B-Juddmonte Farms; T-Henry Cecil; J-Tom Queally. Lifetime Record: 6-6-0-0, £493,553.

Some had cast similarities with the great Dubai Millennium (GB) prior to today and Frankel (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) lived up to all the hype and mass of expectation with a ruthless success in the G1 Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. In front from the outset, Tom Queally let the 1-2 pick use his impressive stride and he had buried all opposition before he reached the quarter pole. Only Dubawi Gold (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) and Native Khan (Fr) (Azamour {Ire}) could emerge from the pack to chase after that, but Khalid Abdullah's unbeaten colossus was far gone and hit the line six lengths clear of the former, with Native Khan a further half length back with daylight behind him. "He did it better than I even thought he'd do it," Queally said after this breathtaking win. "He just made a show of them and to him that speed feels like a cruising canter."

Hi Joan, no it wasn't a record, but it was a quick  time. There was quite a headwind. More later - just want to watch the sprinters (Borderlescott, the old favourite runs).
