I think it will happen. Too many black marks on the industry in the past year, public outcry will force the issue I believe.

First and foremost we need a governing body to oversee racing, I have felt this way for a very long time. We also need uniform drug rules so that everyone is on the same level playing field, from Fingerlakes to Gulfstream, Canterbury Park, Golden Gate and everything in between.
After listening to this I agree Justify’s TC is legit he ran on only the allowed race day medications and passed every drug test during the 6 weeks of the TC.
In the US we have due process. When 1 sample is tested and found to have a positive result the trainer gets to send the split sample in to a different lab for testing. This process ensures that all is on the up and up. Since we do not have access to the results of the split sample, then in my opinion we go with the assumption that the first results were not the same as the second.
We do not know when CHRB made the decision to not fine possible contamination positives maybe they made that ruling last year maybe this year, we do not know. Unless someone from the CHRB comes forth and explains their decision we are left in the dark.
I do not know why Drape decided to write this now and honestly all it does it make the A/R and anti racing groups more determined to shut racing down for good. They are slowly winning the war and as an animal lover, dog breeder and Everything horse sport related I will stand against these groups till my last breath!

scopolamine around the same time, and that those cases were also dismissed due to the belief they were caused by environmental contamination from jimsonweed.
Horse Racing news: What's scopolamine, substance Justify tested positive for?.

The California Horse Racing Board followed all of its procedures when adjudicating cases last year involving the eventual Triple Crown winner Justify and six other horses that tested positive for a regulated substance, the board's chairman at the time, Chuck Winner, said in a statement released on Thursday afternoon.

Yes he's right and I think he's been saying this for a long time.
Explanations need to be timely and published for every fatality.
