This just broke in the Louisvilel Courier-Journal with detail around Laoban's death but I can't read the full article. Vet negligence using outdated meds is what it sounds like.

…expired B12 was given at five times the recommended dosage, and that iron dextran, one of the vitamin components, had expired in 2012. One or more of the vitamins were supposed to be given intramuscularly but instead were given intravenously.

Saw this on twitter earlier but could not access the article since I am not paying for it. Thank you for calling our attention to the Paulick piece. What a sickening turn of events for Laoban; I am so sorry he died from something so unnecessary and mercenary. Shame on all of them.

It really upsets me. I liked Laoban very much and visited him his first year at stud in NY. His trainer made jambalaya for all of the visitors that day. The farm was so excited about him. That was Sequel Stallions.
