Flavien Pratt has tested positive for COVID-19, his manager claims “Los Alamitos didn’t do their job” since 4 jocks from there have tested positive this past weekend. Now, did Los Al not test? Allow those in with fever/symptoms? How can he blame Los Al? Maybe one of those jocks went out unmasked or with someone positive? Or travel to other tracks? He can’t make assumptions without proof. I’m not saying it’s the jocks fault but I haven’t seen anything in news that there were problems there.

Saratoga not allowing outside jockeys in, if you’re not there opening day you’re not allowed in later. I agree this has to be done at this time.

This article is a bit more organized on the Del Mar jockey situation. It seems they didn’t test jockeys until Victor got himself tested, but why wouldn’t they test to start with like the other tracks???? Nuts!

I think if these tracks don’t get their act together soon with this COVID testing and protocols, there isn’t going to be any Kentucky Derby fans for the race, in my opinion. Again, another reason for one national governing body to have consistency.
