Prayers for this kid. I was watching when his horse stumbled, he went over his head and got kicked by the horse behind him. They canceled racing right after the incident. The horse was okay, galloped home thru the race without trace of injury.
Quinones said that there should be an update on his condition later on Tuesday after the doctors perform tests. “They're going to do some testing today. I can let you know more then,” said Quinones. “The doctors can't really tell us much now, except to say that he is alive and on the ventilator. (Last night) they said that tomorrow they would know more, because of the impact and everything, They were talking to his uncle, and they don't want to tell him he's going to be okay, in case something goes south, but they say his vitals and everything is looking the right way. He has no internal bleeding, or anything like that. They want to check him today. It's too early to say much, but he's breathing.”

Not often a trainer fires an owner. It's all a bit confusing, has Reed signed a movie contract? I would think that would need to be done by the horses owner.
I just hope Richie settles in well with his new trainer and hopefully he can find the winners circle again.
