Sigh…….
I thought they said the shoes had been modified and ground down since new shoes weren’t available? If they are indeed specs over required, then HISA needs to address. This will not make any friends, Richie better run well in Dubai or the naysayers will be out.

Double sigh! he needs to move on
He is turning a fairy tale story into what will soon be a nightmare

I really don’t think toe grabs would have given an advantage anyway, it was a dry fast track? If anything, his “unorthodox” jockey may not have timed his ride perfectly????
Feb-17
Have to wonder if Rich Strike were given the win, would he be DQ's for Leon's shifting out of the saddle to elbow Charlie? That just looked so bad and many have weighed in that it cost Rich Strike the race. I don't know. I do know that this horse deserves better connections.

If Rich Strike is elevated to first the stewards do not go back and look at possible dq based on the poor ride by the jockey.

Thank you for the info about procedures. didn't know how it worked.
Hope you and the Corgis are all doing well these days!

All are well at my house, thankfully. Cannot believe that Steve Asmussen did not reach the ten thousand wins milestone today with all the horses he had running all over the country. I was hoping the win would come anyplace other than Sam Houston since no one would be able to see the race! At least he did get up to 9999 today! I see that he has quite a few entered at Sam Houston tomorrow, but only three elsewhere, all at Oaklawn. Good luck to him.
