I was wondering why we haven't heard anything about Loooch Racing in quite awhile. They used to be all over OH and other midwest states in addition to some east coast major races. So, Bloodhorse has an article stating that he pled guilty to tax evasion and will be sentenced soon. His name is Ron Paolucci (sp?). Such a shame; people said he loved racing and got just as much a kick out of winning a low level claimer as he did a stakes race.

But it may be the tax evasion(s) that allowed him to own horses? Some of these owners need to have their licenses revoked, cleaning up the sport also goes with weeding out the owners that are “shady” and evasive themselves as well as those that look the other way way trainers use illegal methods/drugs on their horses.

So, I guess because they didn’t have an exam before purchase, they’ve lost out on a broodmare who cannot function as a broodmare since she has no ovaries. I’m sure if they retrain her she could be sold as a show horse in a different discipline?

Yes this is the case, they needed to do an independent exam of her reproductive organs no later than 24 hours after the sale.
The Auction houses have tight terms of conditions with their sales.
I am sure she could become a riding horse if she is sound but they could lose money on her.
