Interesting concept, but I’m skeptical. Because of injury, illness, you would have to have a huge “standby” string of horses available. Plus, these horses can only run in races set up for these horses.

so what does this mean " if more horses are needed due to attrition they can be acquired thru a supplemental draft"-- My worry is the "attrition" part-- there will be attrition though injury, breakdowns?

My guess as well, but do you keep those horses in training, running normal races until/if needed?? Seems to be a costly entity?

My initial thought is this just does not seem like a great idea
Comparing teams that are composed of human athletes is a whole lot different than teams of horses
Just sayin'
