Charles Town Cancels Jan. 29 Card Due to Winter Weather

Due to the low temperatures and high winds forecast to move through the area Jan. 29, Charles Town's live racing program scheduled for that evening has been cancelled.

I do not understand Oaklawn’s cancellation of the entire weekend. The weather is supposed to be nice all weekend. Unless they thought the track would be too wet from the rain, ice and snow.

Turf would most likely have damage with frost
