Comment by Barclay Tagg: all i can say is, he is a concerned trainer, not a politician. He said what he thinks.

What a shame: i am sure Martinez is very upset but of course they are doing what is best for the horse: i think that horse had a decent chance to do well in the Derby. too bad.

It's a shame about Art Collector. Such a good horse. Look forward to him feeling better and his return.

Just reading that Finnick the Fierce is out of the Derby. Looking for confirmation.

Yesterday on another site someone was saying that Finnick was not moving correctly and they expressed concern

His owner said that’s how he always goes because of the missing right eye. But they will send him in for an evaluation just to be sure.

OMG 2020 continues to be the weird year!
Talk about the lows and the highs in racing!!
Thousand Words spooks in the paddock, rears, slips and falls down. During this scuffle Jimmy Barnes is thrown to the ground and breaks his hand. Thousand Words is scratched for his safety.
Authentic takes to the track and is given a picture perfect ride by Johnny V to win the 146th Derby.
Tiz the Law ran a great race to finish 2nd, but I think he dislikes the CD surface and as good a horse as he is he could not overcome that.
Honor AP was shuffled back at the start was 2nd last and was able to rally to finish 4th.
We witnessed a great Derby!!
Just think a few months ago anyone could have paid $206 to own a small part in Authentic and they can now say that they own a Derby winner
