Sent my $5.00 by credit card. No problem at all!

Things are cooling off here in South Florida, slightly. Upper 80's instead of over 90 degrees, less humid, and more breezy.  I like it.

Thanks for another great rescue!

Amy, thank you.

So far so good with Goldie.  She's shown none of the potential side effects.  I put her on leash to go outside several times a day.   She has managed to do a loping sort of lazy run a few times.  At night, I'm sleeping with bedroom window cracked so I can hear if other dogs start a howl-a-thon and she goes out to join them.  I get up to check on her and she's always asleep.  Being deaf has its advantages - unless they fall over her on their way out, she's unaware of anything happening!

Tricia, thank you!

We've had a little bit of a cool down here, not as oppressive today as it has been.   The chickens have been enjoying the slightly cooler temperatures, too!

Patty, thanks!

Goldie continues to do remarkably well.  I keep calling her a freak of nature.  NONE of the side effects I'd read about for a dog - an old dog with a heavy heartworm presence.   She's still eating like a horse, always bright eyed and alert, no loss of energy, ready to romp with the others and when there are deer on other side of fence, her old nose goes up and she struts her stuff.  I look forward to the time when I don't have to "try" to rein her in and just let her run around full steam with the others.   She truly is a joyful, loving old girl.   1 November will officially end this second treatment month.  My next project with her will be addressing when we can have the gnarly growths removed.  She has the typical senior dog lumps and bumps.  There are three prominent growths, though, that I'm concerned about.  She truly is a work in progress!!
