Research on sesamoid bones in TB’s, surprisingly they don’t know much and now studying the breeds development.

Good article. I've never read much about the sesamoids and that's odd as these fractures happen a lot. Marty was retired due to a fractured sesamoid. Luckily he had a breeder/owner who took him back to the farm to heal for a year.
