Jealousy is an ugly thing - horse trainers I am sure are elated that Baffert is not running in the Triple Crown races and may be banned from New York. Truly, it makes me sick.

New York always seems to want to be bigger, better and more bada$s then everyone, do I’m not surprised they’re doing this. But I didn’t think they were a private entity like CDI, but they say they are?

Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, who has been banned from horse racing for 90 days and the Kentucky Derby through 2023, denies cheating after Medina Spirit was stripped of last year's win following a positive test for a banned substance.

I think he will ultimately lose the 2 year ban at CDI racetracks. But I do not blame him for fighting the good fight.
Bob Baffert's legal challenge to his two-year suspension from racing at tracks owned by Churchill Downs was filed about nine months after the inception of the ban. Now, close to the halfway point, the stage is almost set for a ruling.

This was posted back in February, death not conclusive, Baffert not at fault.
The California Horse Racing Board said Feb. 24 that vets, a safety steward, and a steward did not identify any rule violations after reviewing the necropsy, toxicology report, racing and training history, and veterinary history of Medina Spirit.
