It is going to be a great say of racing today at Santa Anita: I am going to cuddle with my heating pad on the couch- the temp is 14 degrees here is Southeast Michigan! I am kinda surprised that Taiba is racing in a 7 furlong race-- anyway looking forward to that race!!!

What a great day of racing at Santa Anita today. Taiba was entered in the 7 furlong Grade 1 Runhappy to see if his win of 3 Grade 1’s as a 3 year old would put him at the top of the Eclipse awards as champion 3 year old male. He won that race with ease!
Baffert had horses entered in 5 races on opening day today 2 Grade 1’s, 1 Grade 2 and 2 MSW he won all 5 races. The favorite did not always win but what a great day for his barn!
