Well, howdy everyone.  Hope you are all fine and dandy as we begin the month of Barbaro's earthly

birthday.  If you're on facebook or here in the Barbaro and Family folder, please look for Jamie Gillispie's annual rose

drive info.  $5.00 per rose to be combinedwith dozens and dozens of others to place at his Memorial on 29 April.

This month our rescue recipient is the Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary.  Their needs are like all the

small rescues we help each month but they need extra help this month in their efforts to purchase

a trained feline seeing eye dog for their sanctuary residents.  Those specially trained canines don't

come cheap...............OK, that's my lame attempt at an April Fool's joke.  We all know cats don't use

seeing eye dogs, they prefer using those little white canes so they can knock stuff off of kitchen

counters better.  Somebody stop me!!  Please don't hold that against the fine folks at the rescue!!

I'm so glad we are helping to get a seeing-eye-dog for the blind cats. I'm sure they'll love having that!

Don't know if you may have seen it but I posted info for folks who might be interested in purchasing a rose, $5 a stem, and provide a personal message for Barbaro's Memorial at Churchill Downs.  Over in the Barbaro and family section of this forum.  Jamie and a few others will be at CD on 29 April to do the cleaning and polishing of his Memorial which will be xtra special this year, what would have been his 20th birthday!!

Yes, thank you I saw Jamie's post on Facebook about the roses.  I have already sent her money.  I only wish I could help her tag and place them and help with the polishing of his statue if CD will let her.
