Happy May Day! This month's rescue is Lollypop Farm Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Don't let the
"Humane Society" throw you - they are a 501c3. If you like paypal or credit card, go to their website at
www.lollypop.org Easy peasy donate button at top of page and I chose the "donate in honor of" to plug in
my FOB DONATION identifier in the comment section. If you prefer to use a Forever stamp and mail
your donation, the address is: Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
Please let me know when you've seen and sent. Thank you for being here to share Barbaro's Legacy.

Hi, Linda,
I made my $25 donation to Lollypop by PayPal. It was easy!
Here's wishing a safe day for all the horses running on Kentucky Derby Day and every day. It's hard to watch, for sure, just hoping and praying all come home safe.
Thank you for this club!
Tricia K.
Barbaro will lead the way...

Thank you, Patty!
I always hold my breath when watching till they're all home safe! It was an exciting race and fitting that #8 won to mark Barbaro's 20th birthday!

Tricia, thank you.
Yes, this Derby week was definitely the most tragic I've ever witnessed. Wasn't going to watch the actual Derby run but couldn't help myself - held my breath the entire run! Interesting facts I learned afterward - Mage #8 was in the same barn and stall that Barbaro had been in. Coincidence or a nod from our Champion horse? So glad they all came home safe and hope that whatever was impacting the safety at the entire Downs complex will be corrected. So many deaths is just tragic.

HI Linda: just donated- didn't note that I am part of FOB
Regarding Derby day: Usually it is such a joy to watch the undercard races leading up to the Derby and then of course watching the Derby brings such excitement. Unfortunately I did not find much joy on Derby day- could not believe that two horses broke down and had to be euthanized- then when it was Derby time I just prayed they would all come home safe, and thank God they did.
Mage was an awesome winner with the same number 8 as our beloved Barbaro- I would like to think that Barbaro gave him that little extra acceleration in the stretch to make him a winner! A very deserving winner with great connections-- they were so grateful--lovely celebration.
It was also great that Cody's Wish won easily and the bond with Cody continues-- just a wonderful story as well
I think spring has finally sprung here in Michigan- finally
Take care and be well
Marilyn
