The Barbaro's Legacy Fundraising Committee welcomes all FOB's to a breakfast brunch on SUNDAY, JULY 19th, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kennett Square, PA.  This location is less than 30 minutes from Delaware Park, so if you're in town for the races please join us for breakfast.

The room at the Inn will be open for our convenience from 7-11 am; breakfast will be served from 8-9:30 am.  Padme (Lyn Gilbert) will present a brief talk about the communication between humans and horses during the breakfast.

The menu is as follows:  pastries, bagels, muffins and biscuits; seasonal fruits with yogurt; Kennett Square scrambled eggs (mushrooms and Swiss cheese); home fries, bacon and sausage; Belgian waffles with assorted toppings; a chef-attended omelette station; cream of mushroom soup; pies, cakes and cookies; coffee, tea and iced tea.

The price is $19.75 per person, tax and gratuity included; the deadline for reservations is MONDAY, JUNE 15th.  If you'd like to attend, please email janboterf@gmail.com and tell her your name, ABR screen-name, email address, telephone number, and also the number of reservations you need.

We have a block of rooms for $118 a night..

It is under "Barbaro's Legacy Fundraiser".

They book up fairly quickly so the sooner you reserve a room the better.

Sounds wonderful!  A good breakfast with the FOBs, followed by a day at the races!  A great way to spend a Sunday.  Thanks for your efforts.

I know at first it was doubtful if we could attend The Barbaro Stakes, but after not being able to go to the unveiling I certainly don't want to miss this and being with the FOB.

And, if there's even the slightest possibility that Nicanor will be running in his brother's named race we definitely want to be there to cheer him on. We're coming even if we have drive our way up there!!

Hay FOB's:

The Hilton Garden Inn in Kennet Square is an easy 30 minute drive to Delaware Park.  Directions to Del Park will be handed out at the breakfast for those unfamiliar with the route.

Happy trails!

What a great idea!  I'm not sure I can make it, with my farm rounding into shape and wondering if I can find someone to take care of my horses and boarders, but where there's a will, there's a way, so I, and my Barbaro friend, Terri, will try to make it.  I don't know if I'll know in time to make these reservations, but will try to pin things down.

It will be great and maybe Nic will run in the Barbaro Stakes.  Of course, by then, he may be heading for the Haskell, Travers, etc.  I mean, he did win by over 15 last week!!!
