We have Photos!

I started bawling at work!  Everyone wanted to know what was wrong.  What is wrong is that these horses ended up where they did.  And the ones in the background of the pictures...all the ones waiting to be trucked over the border.

We saved these lucky five...prayers for the ones left behind.

Not sure who's who yet but I bet the first three pictures is of the Wild Zone filly.  She looks just like Gambler did when I got him.

I cried too when I saw them. They are all so beat up and look so sad. :(

Our angel benefactor just called me. I told him I would send him the pics. He refused. Said it would just make him mad and he didn't want to ruin his weekend.  He said "Send me pics when they are running in your green fields." Ahhhhh....

I'm fighting back tears myself.  Everyone on here knows where our money would go if we won the lottery.  I have extra halters I can ship you too if you need them.  They would just take a few days to get there, but they are yours if you need them.  That man sounds like a nice person and I'm so grateful for his generosity.  I want to see them happy and running on green grass myself.

*FYI, I sent you an e-mail regarding the hauling.  Hope for Horses is looking for a hauler at a reasonable price to get a donkey from No. TX to AZ.  There is a tread on here somewhere.

Thank you for everything you have done!!!!

Do me a favor when you pick these guys up... Take those damn green slaughter tags off them first thing!

Holy crap...I saw those. I didn't know they had already been tagged with USDA stickers. They literally did have one hoof over the border into Mexico.

Great... I will get some halters together when I go feed lunch today.  I don't have extra lead ropes since my mare likes to use them as chew toys.

*This pictures says it all... he/she knew exactly what was going to happen.  It breaks my heart.  I wish they didn't have to wait until Tuesday to feel like they were safe.  I wish everyone would stop breeding.

Uggghh, you are so right.  If looks could talk, I know exactly what this horse is saying, and the last of the many questions he has is "WHY?"

It's going to be okay, you five little monkeys - you're going to be okay.

Wow, those poor horses are so thin!

I'm totally in love with one of the bay mares. I don't know which one it is, but she is the one with a close up of her face that shows a really kind eye.

Lynn, if you are reading this, DO NOT encourage me to hook up my trailer and drive to Texas! :-)

Yes, that one sort of blood bay mare has such a kind eye, doesn't she?
