URGENT - URGENT - URGENT -

I have been contacted about a Group of horses that are scheduled to be shipped to Camelot Auction for tomorrow night.  We are trying a last-ditch effort to drum up homes before this happens.   Right now, they are FREE and clean of infectious diseases, etc. These foals do not need to be subjected to the Sale routine--you KNOW they will get sick.

Donald Jones of Wesstown, Orange Cty, NY  has  27 thoroughbreds -

~7 mares with foals by their sides

~7 open mares

~1 mare which is bred to a Section A Welsh Pony stallion for a 2011 pony foal.

~4 Yearling colts

~1 22 yr old Stallion 

Mr. Jones has committed to keeping the 22 yr old stallion and has someone who will take the 4 yearlings in August, so their needs are not as immediate.   He has found housing for these 5, but cannot take them all.

**BUT, the dealer is coming between 6 a.m. - 7 a.m.  tomorrorow a.m. (Weds) , to pick them up for tomorrow night's sale.

NEEDED ARE Comittments - homes and hauling - NOW.

The owner has been trying for months to sell and give away these horses and is frustrated. He needs to vacate the facility he is at, and his hands are tied. He called with a final plea, for homes for these horses.

If you can make a solid commitment and offer a real home, please call him ASAP. Donald Jones 845-591-7697. Horses are in Westtown, Orange County, NY. No frivolous calls please, do not harass him. He's trying to do the right thing, he wants homes for his horses and does not need hassling, he needs help, for the horses.

Are the broodmares with foals at foot bred back? Based on the time of year and the fact that he has a stallion, it is entirely possible.

Elegant Angel – sound, cribber, only one of the bunch 1999. Potential for riding horse. Uncomplicated.16H Big boned, nice mare. Papers might be at racing office, but not in his possession. Foals are registerable.
3 mares with hind end issues – 1991 Janitrix, 1996 Noble Satin Doll, 1992 (didn’t get the name, cell dropped the call). He said they are not riding candidates - companion only or broodmares. One is a stakes producer, one has an incredible family. Cannot be field kept, will need TLC. No papers in hand at this time, but all foals can be registered.
Peaceful Dawn 2002 – 5/10 colt didn't know if he had papers or not, but registerable colt.
