The Kentucky Equine Drug Research Council has formed a committee to examine the 170 differences between its drug and medication classification schedule, and the recommendations of the Association of Racing Commissioners International Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances.

This is good news and hopefully it keeps moving forward
Federal legislation that would grant the United States Anti-Doping Agency oversight of equine medication policy, testing, and enforcement has picked up additional sponsors in the U.S. House of Representatives, officials said March 14. The Thoroughbred Horseracing Integrity Act of 2015 was introduced last June by U.S. Reps.

Thoroughbred Racing Commentary He hit the nail squarely on the head with the metaphor "A Madhatter's Tea Party." Also love the article on Hancock and his statement "I am a proud elitist" (translation: a horse's horsemen). Go WHOA!!!

If you have the discussion list open and you cannot find a specific thread because it hasn't been posted to recently then click on the folder itself, ie Racing for this thread and ALL the racing threads will appear in order of their priority. It's a quick and easy wat to locate your favorite thread, or you can bookmark a message for a thread and then go to your bookmarks.

The Racing Medication and Testing Consortium (RMTC) announced Aug. 9 that Pennsylvania has become the 10th state to pass the National Uniform Medication Program (NUMP) in its entirety. With the adoption of NUMP by the Pennsylvania Racing Commission July 27, the state is the latest racing jurisdiction to implement all or portions of the program in 2016.
