Whenever I see "In Memoriam" my heart sinks, but when I saw that it was  Galileo who died, my heart sank further.  He was a truly great horse, both in racing and at stud.  His imprint on the breed will last long after he is gone.  Condolences to all those who love and cared for him --- Rest in Peace.

A Sire of Sires.  Rest in Peace the Great Galileo.  Coolmore has brought over his son Bolshoi Ballet for the Belmont Derby Invitational later today.  In the same race is the Asmussen-trained Galileo Hidden Enemy.  Chad has a Galileo filly in the Belmont Oaks today.  Would be beautiful if Galileo sweeps these amazing races.

A sad day for Coolmore and racing fans. He has been an incredible stallion who will be a force for years to come.

Jockey John Rotz has died, he was 86. He rode many big horses in his day, including Carry Back and Dr Fager. My condolences to his family and friends, now once again able to ride those great horses.
