Not a clue - I wonder if cold air has an effect?  Likely not - just no answers.

It would be interesting if someone with an eye for genetics and knowledge of the breed did a study on the bloodlines this may or may not be happening to.

Just heard on hrtv that Jackie Davis's horse fell over Raw Moon, her horse is supposedly okay but she is in hospital with back pain awaiting xrays.

Jackie Davis has bruised collarbone, but no breaks, according to her dad. Thus far, all X-rays negative. Waiting to undergo a CT-Scan

RIP Raw Moon.  I wish there was some sort of idea what is causing this.  Not just cold weather, I'm thinking.

This was happening alot in eventing, they were doing a study on it now for 2 or 3 yrs, but I can't find any info on it. I may try to contact one the of the organizers out here, to see if they know anything.
