Saw this on twitter earlier but could not access the article since I am not paying for it. Thank you for calling our attention to the Paulick piece. What a sickening turn of events for Laoban; I am so sorry he died from something so unnecessary and mercenary. Shame on all of them.

It really upsets me. I liked Laoban very much and visited him his first year at stud in NY. His trainer made jambalaya for all of the visitors that day. The farm was so excited about him. That was Sequel Stallions.

I’m so pissed at all of them! Now that the story is out there maybe the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners will look into this even though the connections did not. The public will want to know how this ineptitude that resulted in the death of the stallion could have happened.

I find it hard that the owners and Winstar wouldn’t investigate, it seems they thought there wouldn’t be an issue with getting the insurance to pay the mortality insurance. And for Winstar to state they’ve been around for twenty years, you would think they would be outraged that this happened?! To just sweep it under the rug like it’s an everyday occurrence is kind of mind boggling.

How could anyone have any respect for Winstar in view of this
Information?..It is disgusting.

Who couldn't love Zippy Chippy!!!
He lived a long life and was loved and cared for in his "retirement"
Rest in peace Zip!!!
