My condolences to Old Friends and her connections
GEORGETOWN, KY. – May 1, 2023 – Old Friends, the Thoroughbred Retirement facility in Georgetown, Ky., announced today that Mystery Trip, an unraced mare who came to the farm courtesy of LNJ Foxwoods, was euthanized due to chronic hoof issues. She was 22.

Thank you for letting us know. Was going to search twitter, etc to see if I could learn any more about Reed Kan. Was watching when it happened; always an awful occurence. May he Rest in Peace. Prayers for those who loved and cared for him. Wonder if his age contributed to the injury, altho I know there were two 9 yr. olds in the Man 'O War Stakes and no two instances are the same.

I thought at first he had collapsed cause he kind of belly flopped down with front legs extended. From post on the tweet, he apparently got up but a steward caught him? Poor boy, hope he didn’t suffer.:(
