A bay colt from the first crop of classic winner Palace Malice was bought by Mike Ryan, agent, for $850,000 to become the second to sell at that price during the March 13 session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale.

An immaculately put-together colt by Curlin descending from one of the premier families in the studbook was hammered down for $3.65 million as the Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale neared its conclusion Wednesday afternoon. Donato Lanni and Jamie McCalmont reportedly signed the ticket on behalf of Coolmore and an undisclosed partnership, but he will reportedly be trained by Bob Baffert.
