Trainer Richard Mandella announced that Omaha Beach will make his next start in the GI @BreedersCup Dirt Mile.

Yeah, I'm very surprised. There are a couple of nice horses in the barn who deserve to run. Wonder if they will run under the assistant trainer?

I think that is a good decision. I think the fact that American Pharoah did not race in the BC turned out to be fortuitous ( i know he couldn't run because of injury): I think the BC Juvenile is pretty stressful on a two year old-- the distance is a factor too. JMO
