It seems as though they are making a precedent of Baffert, much like Martha Stewart was when she was sent to prison for insider trading(?). Although, I do find it ironic that Churchill is the one to be doing this after what seems their lack of interest in horse racing is doing to Illinois.

It will be interesting to see what New York, and other tracks do in regards to Baffert.

I am waiting to see how the KHRC responds. That could have huge consequences. Although I do think Baffert is going to be hurting from the CDI suspension and I kind of doubt he’ll be able to overturn it.

You make a good point about Churchill perhaps making a precedent of Baffert----

Making a precedent because of repeated recent positives but what hurt CDI more, I think, is that Baffert tarnished their flagship race. He screwed up and it was the Kentucky Derby.

I agree with that. I had a friend call me because she just heard breaking news about Baffert. She hasn't followed horse racing for a few years- she was stunned with what Churchill did. Whatever the reason for what they did, it is in my opinion very extreme ----I hope he can get it overturned but I doubt he will be able to do that.
