A good friend of mine with whom I work and is Jewish brought it to my attention jus this past week that author Herman Wouk is still living. He's 102. I had no idea he was once a writer for Fred Allen.

Herman is probably one of the very few living Jews whose parents were among the first wave of Jewish immigrants from Russia.

Kind regards

Hadn’t heard of him so had to look him up. Is there a Jolson connection? I only made a quick internet search but couldn’t see one. Have I missed something?

No, no Jolson connection, but that both were talented.
