I'm gonna guess it was the Columbia "Down Where The Swanee River Flows."
The Swanee River flowed down for 3:30, making it the longest Columbia, but not the longest track!
A recorded song on a record, one song, start to finish. Not from a movie or radio performance.
Lovely song. Great shame Jolson didn't sing it in later years.
Okay. Just thought I had been missing something.
And you're right. The Victor Brass Band Ephraham Jones and the Decca Cantor n The Sabbath are both 3.33.
But the Columbia Pray For Sunshine is 3:34
Is that the one?
Afraid not .... here is a little hint -- it is a seasonal song
I'm stumped. Both April Showers aren't even in contention - 3:06 and 3:05 and In Sweet September is only 2:57. Maybe I've missed something?
Check the calendar for the next holiday with a Jolson song connection
