Today's society has literally gone to hell and you cannot tell who is who and people need protection. I am for the second amendment in the US of being able to carry a weapon but a legal one. Here in Canada it was never permitted even in ancient times.

No Muslims do not have any respect for women at all not even their own. It is an entirely different lifestyle and mentality. It is best to be with our own type of people and not have anything to do with a religion and way of life that is very foreign. I was shocked 41 years ago just with a Christian Lebanese but Muslims is something totally different and I have seen our Canadian women (some of them) convert to Islam and I was literally shocked. My husband is a very good man and one of the best around but we are different and at the same time we have things in common.

My husband is Lebanese and is a Christian Maronite. My husband was born and raised in Lebanon and later came to Canada. We have been married for 41 years going on 42 years.

There is General Michael Hayden that appeared on Bill Maher's show and told Bill that if Trump went through the waterboarding and killing off of the families of the terrorists that the military would back down and that it was against the international law. If the US is ever attacked again there will be hell on earth to pay and no stone will be left unturned. Here in Canada we are under threat as well and we had many young people not just of the Middle East but of India and Pakistan who were followers of the Middle Eastern Islamic bunch who wanted to do us harm as well. You cannot trust anyone nor put your guard down. There are places that have no security along the borders and are left totally open and that is a huge danger where they can cross over from Canada to the US and vice versa. Another thing is that border guards are bribed all the time and told to look the other way. Middle Easterners of all faiths do smuggle drugs, booze, people, guns, etc. over the borders and I would go along with Trump to put the National guard and whatever means he can come up with on the borders. Mexico is a notorious state and is as corrupted and dangerous as the Middle East but here in Canada we have immigrants from all over including Mexico, and Central and South America. We have a lot of problems like the US that never existed in the past but today that is all we see gang problems and killings, etc. Bill Maher is a "####" way way too liberal for how I think. I am very conservative and I like and support Trump.

Mexico is not a poor country as they have many natural resources. The problem is
the people there are so lazy and stupid.

Yes Danny Thomas one of my very favorite comedian actors was a Lebanese Catholic - he was really a Maronite Catholic like my husband. Danny's family came from a village in the north of Lebanon further north than my husband's village and it is a notorious village where the people of Lebanon fear the people of that village. I was born and baptised an RC and went to French RC schools from kindergarden onwards and have been to public high schools as well. That sure was a long time ago. Yes Danny comes from Toledo Ohio but lived in Deerborn Michigan - a suburb outside of Detroit. Our Windsor Ontario is a twin city to Detroit and I live northeast of Detroit up in Ottawa Ontario.

No Mexico itself is not a poor country but the vast majority of the people are poor. I went to a private school (secondary) run by nuns back in the sixties era and we had students from Mexico, and Central and South America up here to learn English and they were all from wealthy families and their fathers were in the oil business. These girls were never free in Mexico and the other countries and the only freedom that they had was here in Canada but they went out with our Canadian girls and stayed together. We have a Mexican family on our street and have a nice bungalow and the wife babysits some of the kids in the area and the man works on construction. I noticed the mother of the woman or her husband came up for a visit for a while and I haven't seen her afterwards. These people are liked in the neighborhood. Canada gets the Mexicans from Mexico to work in the fields (agriculture) and then to go back home. Some are very hard workers and some others are lazy. Poverty breeds in families everywhere. I have grown up around French Canadians mixed with Indian whose families were 18, 20 and 21 and 22 kids and they all had their own baseball teams without having to search for more players. Honestly it was grinding poverty where the kids had to leave school and go and work at whatever they can find to help the family survive. I remember the days when we would see them come back from second hand shops for clothing and for food.
