It's been many years since I've posted anything in this forum and thought it would be interesting to catch up and see how everybody is.
My son is Alex and he's now 24. On top of the Aspergers he also dealt with seizures for many years. He is a college graduate and works in a field related to his studies. His job has him out in the bush and there are not too many social circles to navigate. He's in the next province over from us living independently and we micromanage areas of difficulty from the distance. He is involved in a curling league, loves camping, backpacking and biking. He drives a car and is managing life well. While I still desire a "social" life for him I totally understand that he does require this from life and is thriving very well just the way he is. He has also been seizure free for about 10 years now.
Special thanks to ROO (Maria) for introducing us to RDI. I really think this helped make a big difference in his life.
Any of the other old timers care to update?
