Little Nook of the Universe

Hosted by Astralchild|https://www.facebook.com/outonthetrails/

The Nook is a little spot in the universe to settle in and share photos that have been captured. It brings enjoyment to share creations that I conjure up when the desire to create something dwells within me. I am looking forward to meeting others that enjoy photography and to learn from different perspectives and constructive critique.

Today while making a quick stop at a spot we haven't frequented in some time.  While standing at the shoreline there were some Rainbow Trout hanging about with each other.  Here are a few photos of them.

Beautiful!  Are they mating?

I was thinking it could have been, but when reading on them they are past mating season so not quite sure.  I know some species of animals will have two litters depending on the weather so not sure if that could be the case with the trout.

I did some more research on trout behavior.  Males will defend their territory, e.g. feeding ground territory.  So maybe that's what they're doing.
