You're probably right. All the experts expect a second wave when winter comes. It's what happened in the last pandemic. Us more mature citizens will just have to even more careful. Stay safe, BM.

I wear a mask out and I guess most others here do as well , the Police are strict with fines of 100 pounds (500nis) if you are caught without a mask.
You are checked before entering the malls each shop and you are told to stand apart which it appears most people respect - those that dont appear in the religious community and of course they are the toughest hit
This Winter I believe will see further major lock downs and I am guessing we are in reality at least 1 year of more from a true vaccine - it took years to get the better of AIDS and I am guessing this is as difficult to understand as well

I fear that you're right, though since the whole world is working on a vaccine, they might come up with something that 'works'. If the virus remains stable, then one jab would protect you but if it mutates then we'll need vaccination every year, as with flu. The trials show that the jabs do cause antibodies against coronavirus to form, but we have no idea yet of how long the antibodies last. As yet, I'm unaware of anyone who has caught the virus for a second time which is good news. However, there's probably some way to go before we have a safe, effective vaccine.
On a related topic, Scottish schools re-open this week. I'm really impressed by the efforts to make the schools safe places for children and staff. What concerns me is that all this preparation will come to nothing if the kids travel to school on crowded buses or mingle with friends that they haven't seen for ages. I've worked in two medium sized (750-1000) country schools which bused in all their students from surrounding farms and villages. It strikes me as a great opportunity to spread the virus, but I don't have any solution. :-(
