I understand your reservations, but cannot share them entirely. I was not enthusiastic about Donald Trump's candidacy having supported Ted Cruz in the run up to the 2016 election.
Yes, I voted for him, and I must say, he's never given me serious reason to regret that vote. Yes, he's not a smooth talking politician and does make cringe worthy gaffes on occasion, but his results in the face of insane TDS ridden opposition have been impressive - at least until the Wuhan Flu came along.
Anyway, here's a guy I listen to daily - I don't agree with him 100% either, but he comes as close as anyone to reflecting my thoughts on the issues facing us today. If you have the time, give him a listen . . .

I've been an Independent for probably 20 years leaving the Republican party during the Bush presidencies. Never liked the Bush family except for Barb. The men in the family have a genetic Chip on the Shoulder IMO...why is everybody always picking on us?
I call ''em as I see 'em. My skeptical nature works for me. I ponder a lot. So does Donald Trump - sometimes he ponders verbally thus giving the media Fuel for its incessant Trump Bashing.
I shall support Donald Trump - with trepidation.
