Capitol Police Officer Chased Through Capitol Building During Coup Attempt

Insurrectionist-Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Building in an attempt to shut down Congress's certification of the 2020 election results. In the clip, an officer is chased up stairs as he tries to escape an angry mob of protesters. Tear gas was used by protesters to overwhelm guards and Capitol police. The invasion forced Congress into recess, and into secure locations until further notice. Many lawmakers are accusing President Trump of allowing the insurrection and for his criminal interference in the 2020 election.

Trump supporters attacked a Black woman walking home, she says. Police are investigating it as a hate crime.
 
 
Berlinda Nibo, 25, said Trump supporters in downtown Los Angeles slapped her, pepper-sprayed her, snatched her wig from her head and verbally harassed her after she tried to record them. The LAPD is investigating it as a hate crime.
 
“They’re yelling at me because of my color, calling me the n-word, calling me the b-word, saying, ‘All lives matter. Black lives doesn’t matter,’” Nibo, 25, told KCAL.
