Apple has a facility in Texas and its CEO stated that employees who need abortions will be able to get them in other states and Apple's health insurance will cover the cost.

Tim Cook is responsible for Apple's bottom line.
Not only does he avoid the expense of maternity leave but he gets public relations mileage for standing up to the Texas pro-life supporters. It is why the Apple board of directors chose him to be CEO. Profits makes his share holders happy and share holders select the board of directors. The next strategy will to start transferring operations out of Texas to save the cost of transporting employees out of state for abortions.
