Putin gave his annual speech to the duma and the Russian people yesterday. It was several hours.

Mike Jones of the UK runs a YouTube channel called iEarlGrey. He is married to a Russian woman and they live in the Saint-Petersburg. He put up a 28 minute video where he an his wife discuss what Putin said in the speech. It is mostly about increased benefits for the Russian people.

Only things I've heard about Putin's speech are what was presented in US media. It would not surprise me at all if it was quite a bit different that whatever limited parts of is get reported here.

Actually, I am taking Tatyana's word for what Putin said and it looks like he dished out a huge amount of benefits for the Russian people, especially future mothers of Russia.

You have to go to YouTube or better yet Rumble to get alternative reporting. YouTube censors but Rumble does not. The people whose channel I follow regarding Ukraine are Clayton and Natalie Morris (redacted), Jackson Hinkle (The Dive), Mike Jones (iEarlGrey) and I have just started following Colonel Douglas MacGregor). MacGregor is good for military assessments.

Russia is lucky to have Putin as their leader.

Russia lucked out because Putin is not a politician. He was recognized by Yeltsin as somebody who would do a good job so the system was rigged to let the people see Putin and elect him.

Not being a politician can be viewed in Putin's favour.

What other leader could do judo and ice-hockey, deep into his fifties ?
