You forget that Stanley Johnson campaigned for Remain throughout the Brexit campaign and only changed his mind three years later, when it was quite clear the cause was lost. Respecting democracy doesn't make him a 'rat'.
He may qualify for French citizenship because his mother was French.
His pro-EU daughter, Rachel has also talked about applying for French citizenship.
Boris, on the other hand was born in the US and his mother's side of the family were Turkish and German and of course, one of his grandmothers was French.
I believe Boris renounced all claim to US citizenship some time ago and doubt if the Turkish fascist Gov would welcome him after his criticisms of Erdogan.

Exports from Britain to the European Union fell by 68% in January as trade was disrupted after the end of a transition period following Britain's departure from the European Union, according to a trade body representing hauliers.

Is that a direct consequence of changes in trade rules because of Brexit or is it due to the imposition of strict rules about the coronavirus variant? All lorry drivers have to be tested before traveling.

Please explain.
" A month on since the end of the Brexit transition period, the Port of Dover is pleased to already be welcoming over 90% of the freight traffic volumes typical of this time of year following the significant stockpiling experienced before Christmas."

Yes, I've read it.
I see an assertion but no actual evidence and frankly it's far too early for there to be any evidence. There was massive stockpiling during December too in anticipation of problems when Brexit finally came in and that will have had some effect.
I also see that the biggest port presents a different picture, though they do confirm that some trucks have been turned away because their paperwork was incorrect.
I expect that coronavirus has had its effect too. I note that France is demanding PCR testing for lorry drivers before they allow them in. Unlike the lateral flow tests, the PCR can take a couple of days before a result is available.
In these circumstances, if there are delays, then what the Hauliers Assoc are doing is getting in their excuses and saying 'It's not our fault, Guv."
