They are all about power, and power corrupts.  Union leaders dangle nice fat carrots in front of the particular workers they're after, and of course the workers will accept the bait and vote to unionize if they've not already done so, or go on strike to force employers to provide the nice fat carrots the union leaders have been promising them.  Of course, all that does is stop production, increase the unemployment rolls, and increase the prices of whatever they were producing.

They started out as a good idea at a time when laborers were ill-treated.  They did a good job of raising their members up, then they became political.  Now they're just all about power.

That could be an option, yes.

Just another pathetic Trump clone. Publishing what you can not document, in this case your evidence that the virus originated i China is??¿? Just because it was identified in China does not prove china was the source. Same problema with the flu called Spanish identified in Spain, only because to admit it existed was quashed in the U.S. and Germany during wWI.

Obviously "normal people" in your mind are those who believe what they are told that fits their prejudices and would view without any evidence. Note your "only" as evidence of an absolute proving you are probably wrong.

No, you've gone past the point that "astonished" you so.

The Chinese used paper, not glass, for windows and lanterns.

Glass was only ever used in small quantities for decorative purposes.

This means they missed the tech tree that grew from glass, such as telescopes, filaments, lightbulbs and electricity, radios, televisions, satellites and space exploration.

Goose, as I scribed elsewhere; you should invite Stephanie to your wee village, show her a good time, perhaps you could install her as your second " secretariat "?

With two "secretariats" you'd have a better chance at scoring. No more straining yourself using the bicycle pump to inflate your rubber doll for "elevensies"!

They were destroyed in 1860, before any of those things had gone very far.

Hmmm, the title line is "racism" which indicates what a loser you are to have a need to go so far off topic, the boost your little ego in a feeble attempt to create a put down.
