One doesn't have to be rich or poor to have manners and decorum. Civility doesn't have to be "uncommon", and the brilliant ones have always shown decency.

There is attached to Royalty in Britain a sense of pomposity , Princess Diana's appeal was that lack of Pomp and circumstance

Having finished reading the entire compiled books of Jane Austen in sequence, for some several months, my husband has gently admonished me for speaking in a perhaps, antiquated way.

I choose not to be constrained by the modern vocabulary, however, but do agree that Pomposity is most disagreeable.

The current circumstance of an American beauty of some color, rather than pale, as a Royal, might be appalling to the propriety of a particular classist form of regal identity for some, but, I must declare that the couple seems happy in their domesticity, and thus, there should be no reproach.

I am not one of the R, of course, (thinking you mean Royals), but when I wake up in the morning, I have shrub roses in my yard, and hummingbirds. Not even slightly wealthy, but do enjoy a garden and multiple bird feeders.

It does pain me that so many don't even have the small satisfactions in life, as I do, while others are sitting on so much gilt, but there is not much I can do, but try and intercede for those without voices.

At last a Princess can escape, on her own! Without a rescuer. Hopefully she will be allowed asylum.
