Really? That is your response to what is essentially a male/war/destroy value, versus a female/grow/ nurture value?
When will they ever learn...

There was a time when police were respected and teachers had no fear , there was even a time when kids played in the streets all day and even had fun

I remember that time.
There were lots of kids in our street, so it was just a case of "Be home for dinner".
Helicopter parents might have existed, but I never knew any.

i had my 3 wheeler , my water pistol , I was armed to the teeth even in those days and a group of us just went and went .
When I was 5 I decided to visit my Nan who live 3 or 4 miles away and with my 3 wheeler I got onto the road stopped at the traffic lights did hand signals and of course eventually a policeman (you remember them?) asked me where I was going (a 30 ton Fodden behind me) "Off to see Nan THIR!"

Didn't have any Nans but spent my time out in the fields playing cowboys and 'native Americans', camping, lighting fires , racing snails, riding my bike and doing lots of things I didn't know were 'wrong' until I reached adulthood..

Had a Nan and Grandma .
Nan was Mum's and Grandma was Dad's
Nan / Pops had done very well whilst Grandma who had 9 kids had fought all her life to keep the family together, fed and clothed
One was lovely the other stern victorian and loved beyond words by her 6 sons and feared by her 3 daughters
Cowboys and Indians - Foreign Legion - Romans - Dan Dare and above all MAYHEM with a group of kids bereft of care and minds superb and we are the lucky generation .
Lighting fires - please do not go there

Both Grandma's died long before I was born, so the word was never part of my childhood vocabulary. Neither was Grandfather, As for fire, I once set a fire in a field that got out of hand. My little friends and I fought a losing battle to put the fire out until adults from threatened houses joined us. Expecting blame, we were showered with praise because everyone assumed that a passing train had sparked off the fire. We had a freedom that children are not allowed today. Definitely the 'lucky generation'.
