I think Ramseylurker is confusing the verb "can´t" with the verb "doesn´t" there is aa big difference one deals with the ability to, the other with the will to. There is no cure for lack of ability, but for lack of will all it takes is motivation. If these imaginary people don´t perhaps they see no reason to bother. considering that the message is more important then using a particularletter such as a o u considering in that in English the sound would be the same for that country..

There is no shame in ordinary ignorance, as that easily solved with education and knowledge. Willful ignorance, however, is a problem that is not so easily solved.

Some of the most "uneducated teachers" as compared to what<<
Well, lets look at YOU as a prime example, shall we?
You said you was a HS teacher in California, and a lecturer/professor at Queens University, and you tell us tales of travelling the world doing educational lectures. Yet, you cant spell, or string two sentences together, even if it was necessary to save your life!

Squaddy has a difficulty in this respect - never known any educated teachers and can't recognise them.

Are you still trying to be a teacher of sorts in sunny Sussex, or have you moved to Palestine - as many surmise?

A letter written by the two artists to painter Emile Bernard in late 1888 describing their stay in the French city of Arles is sold to the Vincent van Gogh Foundation for display in its Amsterdam museum.
